1 My Commitment to Copyright

I'm Amit Kumar Giri, the individual who runs Kahani Suno (kahanisuno.fun). I built this platform to share quality Hindi audio content, and I take intellectual property rights seriously — both as a creator myself and as someone hosting content.

All audio content on Kahanisuno is either produced by me, licensed, or contributed with permission. If something has slipped through and infringes your copyright, I want to fix that. Please reach out.

This policy is in line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.

2 Who to Contact

Because Kahanisuno is a solo operation, I handle copyright matters directly. There's no designated legal team — just me. Send all takedown notices and copyright queries to:

I typically respond to complete, valid notices within 5–7 business days. Incomplete notices (missing required details) may take longer as I'll need to request more information.

3 How to Submit a Takedown Notice

A valid DMCA takedown notice must include all of the following. Missing information will delay processing:

1. Your contact details: Full name, email address, and optionally a phone number or mailing address.
2. Description of the copyrighted work: What exactly is the original work? (e.g., story title, published URL, original recording name)
3. Where the infringement is on Kahanisuno: The exact URL(s), episode name(s), or series name where the allegedly infringing content appears. Be specific — "somewhere on your site" isn't actionable.
4. Good faith statement: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
5. Accuracy and authority statement: "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
6. Your signature: Your physical or electronic signature (your full name typed counts).

4 What Happens After You Submit

When I receive a complete and valid notice, here's what I'll do:

• Review the notice against the content on the platform
• If valid, remove or disable access to the identified content promptly
• Notify the person who uploaded the content (if applicable) and inform them of their right to counter-notify
• Confirm the action back to you via email

I aim to process valid notices as quickly as possible. If a notice is incomplete or unclear, I'll email you to ask for the missing details rather than ignoring it.

5 Counter-Notification

If content you uploaded to Kahanisuno was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you can send me a counter-notification. It must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature
2. Identification of the content that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content was removed in error or due to misidentification
4. Your name, address, and a statement that you consent to jurisdiction of the competent courts (India or your local jurisdiction)

If I receive a valid counter-notification, I may restore the content after 10–14 business days unless the original complainant files for a court order.

6 Repeat Infringer Policy

If I receive multiple valid, substantiated copyright complaints against the same account or individual, I reserve the right to terminate their access to Kahanisuno. This isn't about being harsh — it's about protecting legitimate creators.

A single disputed notice won't automatically lead to account termination. Context matters, and I do actually read the notices I receive rather than just running them through automation.

7 False or Abusive Claims

I won't play along with bad-faith takedowns designed to suppress legitimate content, competitors, or commentary. If a notice is clearly baseless or is being used to harass or censor rather than protect genuine copyright, I will reject it and may report the submission.

As mentioned, knowingly filing a false DMCA notice exposes the filer to legal liability under US law, and similar protections exist under Indian law for abusive claims.
